Who makes Clockless

Clockless was built by our founder, Tao Ling. It used to be called Team Presence.
Why we built it
Clockless started with a question from one of the small firms we look after as their IT provider: with half the team working from home, who was around this week, and for how long? They didn't want timesheets, and they didn't want monitoring software on anyone's laptop. The answer was already in Microsoft Teams, in the status everyone has. Clockless turns it into a Monday-morning report, and we were strict about two things: staff are told first, and it's an availability record, not a measure of work.
How we handle your data
Clockless reads Teams status and the staff list, read-only. It never reads messages, emails, chats or files, and nothing is installed on staff computers. Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure, Australia East. Nothing is collected until 14 days after you've given staff written notice.
